I Didn't Practice...We Should Cancel My Lesson!

So, because life happens, there are weeks when my students don't practice. They often beat themselves up about it, and wonder if it will be a waste of my time if they have a lesson anyway. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Each week, their lesson is a time for them to regroup, review and practice whatever we've been working on together, or start something new.
If they've had a hectic week, lesson time can be like an oasis, a time to relax and have fun playing.
I just finished a lesson with Dana, whose summer schedule is a little crazier than during the rest of the year. She's been working on Fire and Rain by James Taylor, which is a fairly difficult song to play because of both the technique and rhythm.
She rarely has time to practice. And, by the end of her lesson, she had made progress with the chorus of the song, hammer-ons, pull-offs and all. What an awesome way to start the week!
Are you interested in potentially taking lessons with me? Start with a tryout lesson and if you enjoy the time we spend together, you can sign up for one of my lesson packages to continue our work together. It's an easy, stress-free way to get an introduction to my teaching style and to talk about how I can best help you with your guitar playing goals. Peace, Janet
